Lynda Mae Wilson of Mount Sterling, KY is the owner of Better Together Consulting LLC.  Lynda Mae provides consulting services in resume writing, nonprofit grant writing and effective project management.  She is a graduate from the University of Kentucky where she earned her master’s degree in Career, Technical & Leadership Education (Community and Leadership Development), a bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management & Tourism, and a minor in Business.

Lynda Mae has more than 17 years of management experience from being a volunteer to serving as a chief operating officer (COO) and an executive director.  She’s built organizational capacity in sustainable program/project development, grant writing, sponsorship proposals, event planning, board governance and career development in a number of organizations. Lynda Mae managed a state association membership and education program serving more than 350 nonprofit members and has written many successful local and international grant applications for nonprofits.

She's worked in human resources, managed a career job board for five years and enjoys crafting interview winning resumes and cover letters. Lynda Mae is trained to solve problems, resolve conflict, and build agreement as a facilitator by the Interaction Institute for Social Change in San Francisco, CA. She is skilled in achieving results.

Lynda Mae attends Southland Christian Church in Lexington.  She currently serves as a board member of Kentucky Partners of the Americas (Kentucky Ecuador Partners) and volunteers with Covenant Friendship Ministries and Montgomery County 4-H.  She's a Kentucky Colonel and served two years (without running water and electricity) in the United States Peace Corps on the Pacific Islands of Vanuatu.  She has traveled to 13 different countries, spanning 6 continents, and enjoys getting outdoors with her island dog, Rascal, from Vanuatu.
